My 19 months of service as a teaching assistant are now coming to an end; they were largely characterised by school lessons and the associated lesson preparations, piano and guitar lessons, a discipleship course and supporting the music ministry in the church.
I am very grateful to God that I was able to experience this time, during which, as I relied on him, I witnessed many small and also great miracles. I particularly needed God’s help because, for the most part, these were entirely new challenges that I had to face here. And so I would like above all to give glory to God for helping me and thereby glorifying himself in such a wonderful way!
I now look back on these nearly two years and am delighted to see the progress the pupils have made through their hard work, enthusiasm and God’s grace.
On Monday, 21 September 2020, we organised an evening here where the piano pupils were able to perform the pieces they had practised in front of a small audience (see photo). It was a lovely way to round things off and a blessed evening!
What lies ahead for me professionally in Germany is still uncertain, but I am eager to see what our sovereign God has in store for me!
