The bookshop Betesda is situated in the centre of Santa Cruz, on the street where the Old Colonists also gather. The shops on this street have adapted to the Old Colonists, and so as you walk past, the Bolivians will address you in broken Low German.
Consequently, the bookshop “Betesda”, nestled amongst these shops, is a popular meeting place for the Old Colonists. The bookshop “Betesda” stocks a wide range of books, from evangelistic literature, specialist books and Bibles right through to history books. There is always plenty to do in the bookshop, so it is always a great help when fellow believers come forward to lend a hand with this work.
