‘Evangelium’ means ‘Good News’. The ‘Good News’ is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world to die on the cross as a substitute, thereby paying for the sins of all people. He was buried, but he did not remain in the tomb. On the third day, he rose victorious and then returned to heaven. His atonement applies to all people who accept it personally for themselves. This message is proclaimed during evangelistic meetings.
