The fourth radio station of the radio group ‘Der Wegweiser zum Frieden mit Gott’ (in Low German: ‘De Wajchwiesa tum Fred met Gott’), abbreviated to Radio WFG, launched on 20 December 2022 in Chihuahua. It broadcasts the Gospel and hymns 24 hours a day, all year round. On the FM 90.9 frequency, the Good News can be heard within a radius of around 70 km – in cars, on radios in farmhouses and in tractors out in the fields. Online, listeners can select and tune in to the ‘Radio Chihuahua’ station via the ‘Plautdietsch Radio’ app. Around 10 Mennonite colonies are reached with the Gospel via this radio frequency. The programme consists of around 90 per cent sermons and programmes in Low German, whilst around 90 per cent of the songs are in High German, as there are not so many songs available in Low German. The remainder is in High German and Spanish. Our prayer and hope are that, through this work, many will hear the Gospel, come to faith and be strengthened in their faith.
