We held a church day at the Sommerfeld congregation on 17 November 2019. It was a truly blessed day, though it was very warm. As usual, the morning consisted of a service and a children’s session, followed by lunch together. We had barbecued meat, which was delicious.
Afterwards, we enjoyed good spiritual fellowship together; in the afternoon there was a short sermon and many blessed voluntary contributions. It was so warm that quite a few brothers and sisters sat outside because it was far too hot inside – unfortunately, there is no air conditioning indoors.
Afterwards, there was also a good game of volleyball, where married men played against teenage boys. Unfortunately, we men lost. The lovely thing was that there were also non-believing teenagers there who were part of the day’s events. The Sommerfeld congregation is growing, and new people are joining all the time. There were around 170 people in total who took part in the day’s events and enjoyed themselves.
