On Saturday 21 September 2019, we, the staff of Bolivienhilfe, met at the ‘Horizonte’ settlement. We began at 10 am with a Bible study on Nehemiah chapter 6. This chapter describes the difficulties Nehemiah faced with the rulers of the neighbouring nations and how Nehemiah dealt with them.
We, too, have to contend with difficulties and challenges time and again in our lives. How wonderful it is, then, when we live in a living relationship with our Lord and receive help and wisdom from Him.
Following the Bible study, we began discussing the various areas of work, where everyone had the opportunity to talk about their work and where prayer requests were gathered. We continued these discussions after lunch, which took place at 12 noon. Later, there was coffee and cake, which also provided an opportunity for personal conversation.
