Current Director of the Bible Centre
Having been brought up in the atheistic-communist system in Russia, by God’s grace I came to a living faith in Jesus Christ at the age of 20. Following my baptism and joining the congregation, my wife Anna – who has since moved to Germany – and I were given wonderful opportunities to serve the Lord. Initially, we were youth leaders in the congregation. We were ordained to the ministry in 1992. In 2001, we followed the call to go into missionary service in Bolivia and work amongst the Mennonites. Building relationships with people, book distribution through the ‘Betesda’ bookshop, a mobile dental practice, church planting and evangelism characterised our years of missionary work. In recent years, the spiritual training centre ‘Arche’ was established.
Our lifelong dream came true when the Bible Centre was inaugurated on 14 April 2024. We were privileged to play an active leadership role throughout the entire construction and development phases of the Bible Centre. On 10 July 2025, the Lord called my beloved wife and fellow labourer in the Kingdom of God home after a long battle with cancer. Since then, thanks to God’s mercy, I have nevertheless been able to continue working on this wonderful ministry. I am very grateful to the Lord for His blessings: for the ministry I am privileged to carry out here at the Bible Centre; for the church-planting work over the past decades; for my preaching ministry as an itinerant preacher; for our six children and their spouses; and for our 20 wonderful grandchildren.
