Hello, my name is Samuel Klassen, I am 19 years old and come from the Schloß Holte branch of the Bielefeld Mennonite congregation.
I learnt quite a bit about the short-term mission through former short-term volunteers in the youth group, and I was immediately interested in it.
As time went on after I first became interested, and following discussions with my elder, there were no specific objections to short-term mission work, so I took this as God’s guidance.
As a further result of my interest, I travelled to Bolivia with three lads (one of whom was a former short-term volunteer at the Morgenland colony).
There we visited some friends and acquaintances in the colonies; during this holiday I was able to make some new acquaintances and gain an impression of life there in the colonies.
And now I am the first teacher at the New School in the old colony of Nueva Ascención de Guarayos; together with a teacher from here in the colony, I teach 10 children aged between 5 and 12.
I would be grateful if you would pray that my time here in Bolivia may be a blessing.
