My name is Aimée Julienne Löwen and I am 19 years old. I have the privilege of serving the Lord for a year here in Bolivia, in the Hohenau colony, as a teacher.
I grew up in a Christian family and my parents regularly took me to church, where I attended the children’s service. I was saved when I was just four years old, but my life didn’t change. I was always afraid whenever people spoke of hell and the Second Coming of Jesus. Then, in 2019, when I was 14, I was born again at a tent evangelism event. Now I am able to serve the Lord and live in full joy as I await His return. And how did I end up in Bolivia? In 2022, I started a two-year childcare training course with the aim of becoming a nursery teacher afterwards. But God’s ways are often different from what we imagine. As the vocational college is still being set up, it wasn’t able to start the nursery teacher training this year, but only in 2025. The school management suggested we should look for a job for a year. But I didn’t just want to go out and work; I wanted to do something for Jesus. That’s when Bolivia came into the picture. God showed me that my place for this year is here in Bolivia. God spoke to me through various people, telling me that He wants to use me in Bolivia. But above all, during my quiet time, through His Word and especially through the verse:
‘For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to royal position for such a time as this?’
